At this Wednesday's virtual meeting, we recognized  Sydney Pattison as our May Student of the Month for Academic Excellence from  Archbishop Murphy High School (AMHS).
Sydney has earned an impressive 4.0 Grade Point Average through her senior year. She has enrolled in demanding classes all throughout her high school career, completing three AP courses and 3 honors courses. She continues to push herself academically her senior year by enrolling in AP Calculus AB, Physics, English 12 Honors and Social Science 12 Honors. Sydney is a member of the National Honor Society and is a “Teacher Assistant” in Spanish I.
Sydney has been a member of the AMHS Volleyball program and was selected as a varsity team captain for her senior season. Sydney is also an AMHS Ambassador, a program dedicated to welcoming current 8th grade students to the campus, and a LINK leader, assisting 9th graders with their orientation and transition to high school.
Outside of the AMHS community, she has dedicated time to volunteering as a School Student Aide, assisting in classrooms with some of the most challenging students. In addition to the above commitments, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sydney has served as a virtual math tutor for a local K-8 school.

Sydney will be a valedictorian for the Class of 2020 and plans to attend Santa Clara University this fall. Congratulations Sydney!
