CPOD Training

Club members participated in a Community Points of Distribution (CPOD) training held by Snohomish County Emergency Management.  CPODs are locations established throughout the county to provide life-sustaining commodities in the aftermath of a disaster.  CPODs would be activated following a severe disaster where grocery stores might not have their shelves replenished.  Each CPOD would provide emergency commodities such as non-perishable food, water, blankets, and other emergency supplies. In the event a CPOD were activated, many club members are now trained to manage and operate the CPOD.
