Also, at this Wednesday's meeting, we were joined by Officer Chris White and Sgt. S. White of the Mill Creek Police Department, and Sally Dagna, a volunteer with the Mill Creek Police Department and founder of the Mill Creek Police Foundation. With the help of a $1,000 contribution from our community service committee, the Mill Creek Police Department was able to participate in the Chief for a Day program - a statewide program the celebrates the lives of children diagnosed with a chronic medical condition. Selected to be chief, is Julia McCauley, a second grader at Mill Creek Elementary School, who has cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Both police officers shared their experiences with McCauley, Sally Dagna talked about the police foundation, and all three thanked our club for its contribution.
